Finally. I'm releasing the first of many Njordwood Alchemy™ projects for you to collect.     First, I want to explain a bit- I focus on whatever my mind's workbench has strewn across it's expanse. Njordwood Alchemy was initially just a plan for me to stylize my packaging for my bronzework. Little did I know I'd start pushing my limits and well, it wasn't long before people I shared my notes with prompted me to offer these additional creations. That's where the crazy comes in. I'm picky. I don't create with the desire for outside approval, it's all me and satisfying my need to make something I would want. The first of everything ends up of course, as my trophy in hopes future generations can look back on what Fen left for them to hopefully, admire. Vegvisir Almost Completed...

Vegvisir Almost Completed...
I'll have pictures of the finished wood version of The Vegvisir soon. All I can say is, I can't wait to put this one on my own shelf. Later, I'll be doing limited editions with bronze inlays for the Vegvisir itself, the runes, and perhaps the knotwork. I'm ecstatic. (Ill have a shot of the lid as well.)

Just finishing up the last few details on this one, I'm deciding on a series of Futhark (runes for you flatlanders without beards) to add to the corner recesses. No New-Age hoaky bullshit, the real deal. In case you didnt know: (More pictures below)     Vegvisir:   The Vegvisir is of pure Northern Germanic, Old Norse origin to be precise, it has no equivalents in any other symbol, it is unique, mysterious and its exact age as a symbol has been lost due to Christian defilement and suppression, defiant Asatro folk bear this symbol increasingly. Thus it is necessary to establish its accurate definition and an understanding of its wider metaphorical uses, purely in direct accordance with its attested historical function.
