It took about a year, but back in 2016 I was finally able to pull together and organize the shop to cover the casting that I had been involved in since the early 90s and put down since I moved to Hawaii back in 2009 and then back to the mainland here. A lot of things have changed technologically and while I managed to keep up with that stuff in the background, it had been eating at me for a very long time to get going with it again because well, it's been a part of my life for most of it.
I'll probably add more images to this album as I find them, I'm kind of in a reorganizing and exploration renaissance of my own, some of these pictures and bits of information haven't seen the surface for a very long time.
I had well over 20 years of white metal casting under my belt and only had the opportunity every once in awhile to indulge in the original drive that white metal was supposed to progress to, which was things like bronze, gold, and silver. I can't describe the emotional attachment that I have to working with the old metals as I call them. My passion and desire for that is exactly where terms I coined like “explore, before” and “walk with me” came from.
