Seeing The Need And Imagining Parts…
At times when I've tried to explain the ideas behind some of the dressing parts that I'm designing, I usually see an all too familiar “deer eyes in the headlights” type of look on most people. That's the problem I suppose with having both a photographic memory and a self-aware ability to build things in my mind's workbench and see them before I tell my hands to go.
Some of the images in this gallery are really good examples of what I consider are missing bits and bobs out in the real world in any great quantity, let alone being easy to procure after spending many hours hunting through antique auctions and other various avenues for buying vintage mechanical devices and hardware.
A lot of this started with a desire to have collections of these parts in bins ready to go for the next round of my own creative behavior. It wasn't too long after many failed attempts and dead ends for any reliable source that I reminded myself that just like tools, if I need one, I make one- I've always done that.

This is no different. that's also where some of the things that you're starting to see in the store are coming from. I'm really hoping I can unlock for some of the people out there some of their own creative imagination.
I'm just doing my part I think, in making some of that possible and enjoying the hell out of it.
